FormEvo and Actionstep: legal forms, filled from your matter data

Every law firm knows the routine. The client's details are already in the matter. Then someone opens a form and types them all in again.

Actionstep firms no longer need to. Nexian has launched an integration between Actionstep and FormEvo, the UK's cloud-based legal forms platform, so forms are created from the matter and filled with the information you already hold.

"Firms kept telling us they were keying the same details into Actionstep and then again into their forms. This integration removes that step, and we configure it around how each firm records its matters or delivers legal services," said John Ellis, Client Services Director at Nexian. 

Bringing Actionstep and
FormEvo together

FormEvo gives firms a library of more than 2,000 legal, tax and corporate forms, kept up to date with the latest available versions. It also supports validation, electronic signatures, digital submissions and audit trails.

Until now, firms using both Actionstep and FormEvo had to re-enter information that was already in their practice management system. The integration connects the two, so forms start from the matter instead of a blank page.

The integration supports:

• Create forms from the matter. Find and create FormEvo forms from within an Actionstep matter.
• Fill them automatically. Client, participant, matter and custom data flow into the right form fields.
• Map fields your way. Actionstep fields are mapped to the matching FormEvo fields, so the integration reflects how your firm records its information.
• See it as you set it up. A preview panel shows the form while it is being mapped, so setting up forms and fields is straightforward.
• One sign-in. Single sign-on opens FormEvo without a separate login.
